Inuit Art: Tradition to Innovation, until Feb. 27. In this touring exhibition from the Mendel Art Gallery, a diverse selection of stone carvings, drawings prints and paintings provides a fresh look at the unmistakable art of the Inuit. The work of 23 northern artists tells the story of cultural exchange meeting tradition.

The World Day of Prayer service will be held Mar. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's United Church, 29 Smith St. E. The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christians of many traditions who come together the first Friday of March to observe a common day of prayer each year. Over 170 countries around the world share this service. The service for 2011 has been written by the women of Chile. All are welcome to attend.

Teen Girls Safety Conference - March 18, 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Dr. Brass school. Sessions will be internet safety, staying safe at home and in the community, self-defense, the effects of alcohol on staying safe. Conference is free and lunch is provided. The Bereaved Parents of Yorkton, a support group for parents who have experienced the death of a child will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except July and August) at 7 p.m. at the SIGN Building at 83 North Street, Yorkton. We will be hold general sharing sessions and discussing chapters from the book "Surviving the Loss of a Child - Support for Grieving Parents" by Elizabeth B Brown.
