One of Canada's best-known and longest-running a cappella groups is coming to Yorkton.

Next Thursday, October 14, The Nylons will be featured in a Yorkton Arts Council "Stars for Saskatchewan" concert at the Yorkton Regional High School's Anne Portnuff Theatre.

The Toronto-based Nylons have been touring for more than 30 years across Canada and around the world. While only one original member remains, the group hasn't lost the sound that earned it seven gold and platinum recordings, more than a dozen successful albums, and regular spots in top venues alongside some of the most famous bands of the last three decades.

This will be The Nylons' second concert for the Yorkton Arts Council.

They last played here in the spring of 2007.

Season tickets for the Stars for Saskatchewan series are available from the Arts Council office on Smith Street East. Individual tickets for The Nylons are also available at the Welcome Home Floral & Gift Shop.

Discounts are offered for students and seniors.
