Speed bumps pried up

The Yorkton Rural RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating the person(s) who removed a number of speed bumps in the Seradaville Subdivision west of Yorkton.

Sometime in the early morning hours of August 29, 2010, suspect(s) pried up numerous speed bumps, exposing large spikes and causing a hazard on the roadway. The spikes, if driven over, would have caused extensive damages to a vehicle. The speed bumps have been repaired and replaced.

Currently there are no suspects. Anyone having any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers or the Yorkton Rural RCMP at (306) 786-4500.Damage at Churchbridge business

On Saturday August 27th, an unknown number of subjects gained access to the roof of Tony's Family Restaurant situated at 121 Bridger Avenue in Churchbridge. They caused approximately $5000 in damages by destroying signing, ventilation equipment, lighting systems and the rear entrance into the building. The investigation is ongoing at this time and we are asking for the community's assistance.

Drug charges laidYorkton RCMP have charged two adults as a result of a recent search. At approximately 8:30 pm on August 31, 2010, members from the Yorkton Municipal and General Investigative Section executed a search warrant at a residence in on the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North in the city of Yorkton. The search, under the Controlled Drug & Substances Act, resulted in the seizure of three ounces of marijuana. The following two adults are each charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act as well as Possession for Proceeds of Crime pursuant to the Criminal Code.Donald Todd - (28 year old male from Yorkton)Shannon Redwood - (32 year old female from Yorkton)

Both accused will be making their first court appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on September 20th at 9:30 am.

Also providing assistance during the execution of the search was the RCMP Police Dog Service.
