Each month a male and a female student is selected as the SHHS Saint of the Month. Saint of the Month students are nominated by staff and students of SHHS. The selection is based on: Demonstrating Christian Values, School work, School Involvement, Leadership, and Community Involvement. Renee Digout is very friendly, always smiling and willing to help others, especially with finding COPS errors. She volunteers as a French tutor after school. Renee is on the honour roll with an average above 90% and is in French Immersion and AP English. In the school you can find her as a lead in the past three musicals and she has been in the regional winning Drama Festival play each of the past three years, including winning an acting award at Provincial Festival this year. Renee has been in rock band for two years, S Cubed winner and finalist the past two years, SRC social rep for next year, choir, newspaper and coffee house and talent shows. Renee is a member of St. Gerard's Parish and sings in the choir for SHHS masses. In the community, you can find her working at Staples, as a French tutor, in piano, guitar and voice lessons.
She is also competing in the GX 94 Star Search. Dillon Hackman is described as the most excellent person in the world. He always considers others way before himself, sacrificing time and sleep to better serve the school. Dillon is always happy and always has great things to say about everyone. He willing devotes himself to every activity and is so appreciated by everyone. Sacred Heart would not be the same without him. Dillon is the model student, achieving high 90's if not 100% on every assignment. He always works until he understands the material. Teachers love him to bits. Dillon is in both math and English AP and is on the honour roll with distinction. He is always on time and is a Grey Stone Scholar. In the school, Dillon is the male SRC president, a newspaper member, in drama, musical, track and field, choir, grad committee, grad choir, a retreat leader and saint of the month committee. Dillon regularly attends St. Mary's parish, works at Stitches, is a Big Brother/Big Sister mentor, and is part of the champion Trivial Pursuit Team.
