More volunteers are needed to make Yorkton's 13th Annual Santa Claus Parade a success.
Co-chair Penny Sandercock is disheartened. "I guess a long term effect is it could go by the wayside. That happened a few years ago," she said.
Safety is the main concern, and is also the area where volunteers are needed most. With the parade 小蓝视频 at night, volunteers are needed to walk the parade route to make sure nobody disrupts the oncoming vehicles. People are needed to make sure kids do not run too far out on the street to collect candy or toys 小蓝视频 thrown. Street corners need to be monitored to make sure vehiclesdo not enter the parade route.
"We will never turn anyone away. Whoever shows up we can give them something to do," said Sandercock.
"I didn't want to see it die there's a lot of less fortunate children for example that can't go to see Santa anywhere else a little toy to them is a real major thing."
The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 27.
About 7500 people usually attend.
