Parkland College's SIAST Business Accountancy Diploma graduates now have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business degrees from the University of Newcastle in Australia after an articulation agreement between the two institutions was approved on June 29, 2010. According to William Litchfield, Director of Advancement, "A student who has completed the two-year SIAST Business Accountancy Diploma now has an additional option to complete their degree at the University of Newcastle in Australia and receive advanced standing for their diploma. This is a great opportunity for our students and an additional new pathway to meet their personal and professional goals.
We are pleased to have established an articulation agreement with the University of Newcastle allowing our students to pursue futures in the global economy."
Similar to our other agreement with Griffith University, Australian will support all aspects of our student's application and support for the student at no additional costs," adds Litchfield. From the first point of contact through to arriving on campus, Australian students are well prepared and very well informed. This includes assistance with the applications, applying for a visa, scholarship information, a 24/7 help phone, and academic advising services.
