Three years ago JRDN Croucher teamed up with Grammy-nominated Kuya Productions (Akon, Ginuwine) and the writing process began for the album IAMJRDN released November 9th. The lead off single "U Can Have It All" delivered mainstream success solidifying the #21 position on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and reaching #14 on MuchMusic. JRDN's rise to fame is backed by an impressive resume supporting acts such as Ne-Yo, Snoop Dogg and Rihanna. The single climbed became the #1 Most Added single at CHR Radio, became #2 Emerging Canadian Artist on Billboard and consistently remained in the iTunes R&B Top 5 alongside Usher & Chris Brown.
Currently, he remains in the Top 20 for Canadian airplay and briefly explained to us his sudden success. "It's been overwhelming to be honest. We were releasing it as a possible first single and when radio reacted the way it did, we knew we had a single on our hands," mentioned Croucher. Danny Fernandes headlines the upcoming tour posessing impressive charting of his own including back to back #1 videos on Much and earning himself an MMVA for Pop Video Of The Year for his single "Private Dancer". Fernandes started with the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak at age 16 and now shares the stage with notable musicians such as Flo Rida, Girlicious, Akon and older brother, Shawn Desman.
The month long tour with Fernandes & JRDN stops in Yorkton on Saturday, November 27 as the lonely date in all of Manitoba or Saskatchewan.
"Performing in small towns is always great because there's not a lot happening as far as entertainment," noted JRDN. The show takes place at Holly's Nightclub as part of the Indestructible Entertainment and Booster Juice Concert Series with doors scheduled for 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 available at the door only with a limited online advance sale at www.ticketscene.ca.
