Local club holds annual golf tournament

The Bredenbury Sunnyside Golf Club held their open golf tournament Sunday, July 11th. There were 20 avid golfers out for the tournament. The winners were.

The Bredenbury Sunnyside Golf Club held their open golf tournament Sunday, July 11th. There were 20 avid golfers out for the tournament. The winners were. Juniors - Tanner Burman; Mens - 1st Flight - 1st Craig Kaeding, 2nd Robert Taylor, 3rd Perry Janett. 2nd Flight - 1st Justin Morrison, 2nd Dwight Leppington, 3rd Doug Larson; Seniors - 1st Flight - 1st Ken Morrison, 2nd Norm Thompson, 3rd Jim Morgan; 2nd Flight - 1st Lee Summer, 2nd Lyle Hillis, 3rd Dennis Watrych, 4th Roy Haas; Super Seniors - 1st Flight - 1st Ming Wong, 2nd Peter Janett, 3rd Adrian McLachlan; 2nd Flight - 1st Glenn Cowan, 2nd Roy Larson, 3rd Keith Thorsness.

Winners of the draws. Gift certificate for Round Up Meats - Tanner Burman; Gift certificate for Ming's Cafe - Valerie Watrych; Golf for 2 at York Lake & cart - Eleanor Haas.

A delicious steak supper for approx. 50 people was served with Ming Wong cooking the steaks. Thanks Ming. Thanks to all who participated in the tournament, helped with the supper or helped out in any capacity to make this a very successful tournament.

Don't forget the Annual Night Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 14.

Registration from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. First round begins at 5 p.m. Supper from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. Night Tee off Time 9:30 p.m.

Entry fee for tournament is $30 per golfer. Limited entry to 72. Carts are available to rent. Enter early to Perry Janett at 898-2345 or Dwight Leppinton at 898-4545. Come out and have fun or watch this spectacular night golf event.

Gordon & Pat Berg of Regina visited with Darlene & Gerald Burman while here to see his mother Beatrice Berg in Lakeside Manor Care Home.

Kathy & Grant Jacob and sons Colby & Ty joined Grant's four brothers and their families in Langenburg to celebrate their parents; Ron & Colleen Jacob 50th wedding anniversary.

Congratulations to Scott & Wanda Barmby who were married in Saltcoats on Saturday, also to Kristin & Darren Dyck who were married in Regina.

Blood Pressure Clinic was held on July 14 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Regular Monday night Bingo will resume August 2nd.
