Dear Mrs. Lexier;Received your very lovely and welcome parcel especially, the razor blades, they come in very handy. You can only buy 2 at a time, when you're lucky. As you'll notice I've had a promotion, one of the lucky ones. I guess Yorkton, is a pretty busy place these days. It's been over a year since I was in the Stag last. I often wish I could go back and spend the vacation again, but I think it will be all, over by Christmas, at least we hope so. Everything is in our favour at last. You don't realize how much the boys including myself, appreciate receiving letters, papers, and parcels from friends back home. We all look forward to the day when a boat docks with mail on it because we know there will be candies, chewing gum, and smokes. These things are very scarce in these parts, as we are in a pretty isolated spot, but a very pretty spot. We have one advantage of our outfit, we see a lot of this beautiful island. Well, it's nearly time for bed, so I'll close now, hoping to hear from you soon. As you remember me,Lawrence Love.
