On Monday, January 10 the Knights of Columbus #2031 donated $5,000 to assist the purchase of new Operating Room equipment and Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) pain medication pumps.
"This is a wonderful donation and it comes at a great time," said Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation. "We very much need to raise the funds to put this equipment in place; this is equipment we really need as it will make a significant difference to the care available to the residents of east Central Saskatchewan."
"We really hope that other individuals and businesses will follow the example of the Knights of Columbus and make a contribution to help us purchase this equipment," continued Mr. Fisher.
Roger Blain, Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus #2031 when presenting the Health Foundation a cheque for $5,000 commented that the Knights of Columbus are proud to support the community and have a tradition of giving back to the community and supporting a variety of worthwhile causes.
"We raise money in a variety of ways during the year, and we do that so we can support good projects and causes in the community," said Mr. Blain.
"We know this equipment will benefit hundreds of people each year, and in some cases make a big difference in their quality of life. That's a very good reason to support this campaign for new operating room equipment," he continued.
