Health employees to pay for parking

Starting on September 26, employees, physicians, and contracted workers of the Sunrise Health Region will no longer be provided with free parking at their places of work. The change is part of the health region's strategy to make up for a $2.

Starting on September 26, employees, physicians, and contracted workers of the Sunrise Health Region will no longer be provided with free parking at their places of work.

The change is part of the health region's strategy to make up for a $2.8 million shortfall in its budget this year.

"As one of the decisions in the budget process, it was determined that they wouldn't be able to continue subsidizing the cost of staff parking, which is lighting, power, and gravel and asfalt maintenance," explained Sharon Tropin, director of communications for the region.

Parking fees will be $0.15 per hour, which should amount to about $24 each month for fulltime workers. The fees will apply at facilities throughout the region, but for the time 小蓝视频 volunteers and visitors will be exempted.

The decision is drawing ire from employees who view parking as a necessity for performing their jobs."It isn't a change that's 小蓝视频 welcomed," said Tropin.
