KAMSACK — In a lively match at the Norquay Communiplex, the Kamsack Flyers clashed with the Preeceville Pats in an U13 hockey game that showcased the budding talents of these young players.
The March 7 game kicked off with a flurry of goals from the Kamsack Flyers in the first period, with Liam Shabatoski leading the charge by scoring four goals, closely followed by Quin Summers with one goal. However the Preeceville Pats managed to pull one back with a goal from Carter Moekerk with only about a minute remaining in the period.
The second period saw both teams intensify their efforts, with Quin Summers of the Kamsack Flyers and Ethan Balawyder of the Preeceville Pats each adding a goal to their team's tally. A goal by Morgan Olson of the Preeceville Pats further narrowed the gap for the Pats, ending the second period with a score of 6-3 still in favour of the Flyers.
In the final period, the Kamsack Flyers continued to showcase their offensive prowess, with Quin Summers and Liam Shabatoski combining for several goals, extending their lead. However, the Preeceville Pats still fought back valiantly, with Ethan Balawyder and Dillon Serdachny finding the back of the net to bring the final score to 13-5 in favour of the Flyers.
