Amy McDade will be performing at the Sturgis Mini-Miracle on March 2.
“McDade is a GX94 Radio Star Search champion,” said Kayla Jelinski, the radio station’s promotions director.
The 17- year-old singer resides in Govan and is currently enrolled at William Derby School in Strasbourg as a Grade 11 student.
At the age of four, McDade began singing lessons and since then has learned to play a wide variety of instruments including the piano and guitar.
McDade says that in the future she hopes to obtain a bachelor’s degree in jazz and contemporary pop music along with a doctorate in music therapy in hopes to work with special needs individuals.
This summer McDade will be seen performing throughout Saskatchewan as the reigning champion for the GX94 Star Search competition.
