A move from a resident鈥檚 home into Eaglestone Lodge last week brought back memories of a once-prominent Kamsack business.
Last week as Lois Schindler of Kamsack was 小蓝视频 moved from her home into the Eaglestone Lodge, members of her family came upon an old, multi-coloured unused flour sack that was printed with the name of the Kamsack Flour Mill, a business which was established and operated by her husband鈥檚 parents, Joe and Annie Schindler.
鈥淔lavo Patent Flour; Hard spring wheat鈥� is printed on the sack with a depiction of a sheaf of wheat located inside a horse shoe.
鈥淏leached鈥攎aturing agents added. 50 lbs. when packed,鈥� the printing says.
The sack was among the items family members had kept as tokens of the business after the mill closed in the early 1960s. It had been located on the property where Duck Mountain Ambulance Care base is currently located.
