This charity was registered in January 1994. At the present time we have representation from the Town of Outlook, RM鈥檚 of Loreburn # 254, Rudy #284, Fertile Valley #285; and five members at large.聽 Services provided at the health center are not limited to just those RM鈥檚 and communities shown above.

We were incorporated to receive funds from donations, memorials, estates and fund raising and to spend those funds on programs and services provided by the Outlook Health Centre, which includes Emergency/Ambulance Care, Acute Care & Long Term Care, Home Care and Community Services.聽 We provide funding for not only equipment and furnishings but education and staff training. We work with the Outlook & District Health Centre to establish funding priorities as identified by management and staff.

We will always have the need to find funds as new and replacement equipment is ongoing as well as staff training and education. As the demographics of this area change the need for funding continues to increase. As well the Saskatchewan Health Authority looks to local foundations for assistance in providing funding.

The SHA has formed a provincial organization of these local foundations to enhance communication and collaboration. It is important for rural communities to provide services at home as much as possible. Some of the equipment they are asking for participation in purchasing has seen a huge increase in the dollar value. At the last foundation meeting discussion was held as to how we can partner with other entities to raise the dollars needed so residents of the area can have these services as close to home as possible.

Because the types of services 小蓝视频 provided is always changing, new equipment needs are identified. The foundation for the first time provided funding to purchase 5 COPD chairs as there has been an increased need identified by acute care programming. We also funded at cost of $55,000 3 beds for acute care, 2 resident ceiling track lifts for tub rooms and 1 ceiling track for lift for LTC as well as the COPD chairs. We have been made aware that the Xray equipment will soon need to be upgraded to enable this service to be compatible with the base hospitals and specialty services provided in the larger centers. This upgrade alone will cost $450,000. We won鈥檛 be expected to provide all the funding but the sooner we can commit funding the sooner we can have this service and save trips to the city.

We rely heavily on our local and surrounding district service clubs, fraternal organizations, and businesses.聽 Their support of the Foundation is greatly appreciated.

If you wish to make a donation it can be left at the Administration Office, Outlook & District Health Centre or by mail to PO Box 427, Outlook SK, S0L 2N0 and a tax receipt will be issued.
