Two persons new to the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute this year are a mother who is a teacher, and her daughter, who is working as an educational assistant.
Amy-Lynn Costigan and her daughter Shannon Boyle, who have relatives living in the Yorkton area, moved to Kamsack from Thunder Bay, Ont., in August.
Costigan was hired to teach social studies and language arts on a half-time basis to Grade 6 students and health to students in grades 5 and 6.
Born in Brantford, Ont., and raised in several communities around Ontario, Costigan obtained her bachelor of education degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay in May. She had previously obtained a bachelor of arts degree from Lakehead.
Costigan is the mother of three children: Shawn, who lives in Thunder Bay and is a linesman for a power company; Carolyn, who works in a hotel in Thunder Bay, and Shannon, who was hired to work as an educational assistant at KCI.
Boyle had studied for 18 months as a developmental services worker and during that time she spent 15 weeks placed in a Grade 5 classroom and she also worked with students in grades 7 and 9. She is working at KCI on a nearly full-time basis. She also has a job at the Co-op convenience store.
When not 小蓝视频 a mother or school teacher, Costigan enjoys calligraphy, sewing, reading and 鈥渓earning new things.鈥�
