A new Family Resource Centre is currently under development in Kamsack that will offer programming that is focused on supporting healthy childhood development and positive parenting skills, said a release from Sunrise Health Region.
Sunrise Health Region remains committed in its efforts to support families and children in the Kamsack area, the release said.
The Kamsack Family Resource Centre will be a gathering place where families can attend programs that address their interests, it said. Sunrise Health Region will be operating in partnership with the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbors (SIGN) to provide various programs and supports and utilizing the expertise and resources of local service providers.
The Kamsack Family Resource Centre is for all parents with young children, who live in, or visit the community, it said. It will be located in the lower level of the Crowstand Centre at 241 Second Street in Kamsack and is anticipated to be open later this fall.

The previous such facility, known as Families First, which had been operated for several years in the Sunrise Health Region building on Queen Elizabeth Boulevard in Kamsack, closed on March 31.
