On Saturday, May 8, 2010, M&M Meat Shops will celebrate its 22nd annual Charity BBQ Day at more than 470 locations across Canada. Franchisees and volunteers will be flipping burgers and hot dogs to reach this year's goal of raising $2 million for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC). Over the past 21 years, M&M Meat Shops has raised more than $18.3 million for medical research into inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). There are more than 200,000 Canadians suffering from IBD and there is no known cause or cure.
