CANORA - The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 31 calls from Aug.10 to 17, some of which included: two 911 Act calls, one causing damage or injury to animals or birds, one disturbing the peace, one failure to comply with conditions, two false alarms, one harassing communications, three Mental Health Act calls, one mischief, one other provincial call, one suspicious person, one theft of truck, two traffic collisions, 10 traffic offenses, one uttering threats, and one well小蓝视频 check.
Stolen truck
On Aug. 15, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a report that a red Ford F250 truck was stolen out of a driveway in Canora. The truck was seen by witnesses leaving Canora towards Kamsack on Highway 5 at a high rate of speed. Police continue to investigate.
False alarm
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a report of a possible plane crash in the Sturgis area involving small aircraft on Aug. 13. Police would learn the plane was safely on the ground and that aircraft had a malfunctioning emergency locator transmitter (ELT).
Mowing/dust dispute
A male walked into the Canora RCMP Detachment on Aug. 11 and reported that another male had mowed the grass in the centre of a back alley in Preeceville, which caused a lot of dust. As no criminal offence occurred, police provided the complainant advice and the matter was concluded.
