The Grade 11/12 students enjoyed their field trip in Yorkton. They had a blast at glow bowling and had the opportunity to watch the movie 鈥淚F鈥 for its first viewing in Yorkton!

INVERMAY - Invermay School was very active during the month of May.

The Red Cross held its annual Spirit Week from May 6-10. The week started off with Favourite Colour Day, filling the school with many different colours!

Next, was Future You Day. Everyone got very creative with their outfits and it was interesting seeing what people want to be when they’re older!

Wednesday was Summer Formal Day. Next up was Sports Day. And to end the week, everyone got to dress nice and cozy in their pajamas and wacky hair styles!

Every second day the Red Cross hosted an activity in the gym, starting off with Monday. Everyone got separated into four different groups and had to complete a challenging puzzle that corresponded to the colour they were assigned.

On Wednesday, everyone at Invermay School had to put their dancing shoes on!

Friday was a calm day while the students were separated into their teams and had to get the bean bags into the laundry baskets in their PJs!

The Red Cross also generously donated four bouquets of flowers to the Invermay Health Center for Mother’s Day as a show of gratitude to the residents.

On May 17, the Grade 11/12 students enjoyed their field trip in Yorkton. They had a blast at glow bowling and had the opportunity to watch the movie “IF” for its first viewing in Yorkton!

Recently Cassandra Ponte had the opportunity to attend the SPARCS (Seeing Possibilities and Rewards in Computer Science) workshop at the University of Waterloo. Out of over 300 applications, she was one of the 40 that were accepted. The participants were from all across Canada and she was the only chosen one from Saskatchewan. From Monday to Friday, they spent almost six hours at lectures and labs each day. All of the lectures and labs were taught by instructors who had either their masters or PhD and worked for the University. Every evening, they also had a variety of different team building activities.
