INVERMAY - March has been a long yet productive month for Invermay School. Despite the many different weather conditions throughout the month, Invermay School students and staff managed to have tons of fun!
March 4 - 15, 2024 was recognized as Provincial Impaired Driving Awareness Week in Saskatchewan. The Invermay SADD Chapter would like to remind everyone of the importance of educating others about the consequences of impaired driving due to alcohol, drugs, fatigue, or distraction. It is encouraged for everyone to not to get in a vehicle with an impaired driver as well as not to be a distraction to the driver and to drive safely. The Invermay SADD Chapter held many fun activities during noon hour on March 14. They hosted an enjoyable trivia event as well as a relay race, where they had students spin before doing the race to imitate the feeling of driving while impaired.
During the month of March, the SADD Chapter also held a basket raffle. Congratulations to the winners Krystal, Miss Robin, and Kyle! The proceeds from the raffle will go towards funding the Invermay SADD Chapter as well as allowing the group to attend the annual SADD conferences.
Invermay School has had lots of fun in the snow during March. The K-12 students got the chance to go out into the woods to snowshoe and sled during the warm weather. Tons of laughs and happiness were shared among classrooms while out in the sun!
Despite the weather, it didn’t stop the Grade 11 and 12 students from having fun during their fishing trip! Only one fish was caught by one of the guides and they were all able to get a tasty sample. Along with fishing, they also got to enjoy a SnowBear ride!
