INVERMAY- Family and friends gathered on June 29 to pay tribute to the Invermay School graduating class of 2022, which includes: Trinity Fidek, Cole Serron, Kim Villete and Ivan Marasigan.
After the welcome by emcee Kent Seerey, teacher, the graduates were introduced by Diana Enge, teacher.
Melissa Grona gave the Principal’s Welcome, read the message from the Minister of Education, and presented the scrolls to the graduates.
Awards and scholarships were presented in recognition of exceptional academic achievement.
Cole Serron received the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship 2022 Westmoreland Coal Company – Poplar River Mine Scholarship. Serron also earned: an academic medallion,
the Leson’s Funeral Home award, the Invermay School SRC senior spirit award, PAA award, Grade 12 Proficiency award, Aspen Paramedic Services award, Wadena Co-op Association Ltd. award, Village of Invermay award, Invermay School Staff scholarship, Invermay Kinette scholarship, and the Crossroads Credit Union scholarship.
Trinity Fidek received an academic medallion. Fidek also won: the Grade 12 Academic award, Mathematics award, Sciences award, Canadian Studies award, English award, Yearbook award, Invermay School Community Council award, Good Spirit School Division scholarship, the Rama Co-op Association scholarship, and the Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship scholarship.
Kim Villete won the RM of Invermay award and also received the Invermay Agricultural Society award.
