On the first day of the Canora Winter Lights Festival on Nov. 27, one of the highlights was the wagon rides provided by Lloyd Smith of Pelly, with the help of his granddaughter Morgan Wallington. Local residents, young and old alike, took the opportunity to enjoy the ride through downtown Canora in near-ideal weather conditions. Providing the pulling power were Tom, left, and Jiggs, a pair of black Percheron horses. The event was hosted by the Canora Tourism Committee, with Crossroads Credit Union providing hot chocolate and cookies.Rocky Neufeld / Canora Courier
