CANORA - Long-time former Canora resident Evelyn Kuruliak recently returned from a 12-day excursion to the Maritimes with her daughters Kim Pettypiece of Regina and Twila Riffel of Calgary.
The trip started in Halifax, Nova Scotia, then on to Cape Breton Island, Prince Edward Island and finally New Brunswick.
Along with her daughters, Kuruliak, who now lives at the Fairview Arms independent living facility in Yorkton, enjoyed days filled with tours to historic places such as Lunenburg to see the Bluenose II, Cabot Trail, Peggy’s Cove and Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place.
The highlight of Evelyn’s trip was to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum where she was asked to sign her name in the “Telephone Pioneers” book, honoring her 30 years of service as a SaskTel operator.
