YORKTON - Another court appearance has been made by a Cote First Nation man charged with second degree murder in the death of a toddler.
Waylon Severight, 26, was in Yorkton Court of King’s Bench Friday, where he was remanded in custody to Sept. 27.
RCMP say the accused was known to the victim, 21-month-old Lorenzo Cote.
In November of 2020, emergency crews were called to a Canora home on a report of a toddler needing urgent medical care. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
