CANORA — The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 51 calls from February 3 to February 10, some of which included: one traffic accident, one assault, two uttering threats, two frauds, 29 provincial traffic offenses, eight other provincial statutes, three 911 Act occurrences, two thefts, and three other incidents.
Shoplifting
On February 4, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of two females shoplifting from a business in Canora. Police identified the suspects and continue to investigate.
Arrest for Saskatoon
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP arrested a male in Canora on February 4 who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the Saskatoon Police Service.
Icy rollover
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover west of Mikado on Highway No. 5 on February 8. Icy roads and blowing snow were contributing factors in the collision.
Threats?
On February 9, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP received a complaint of threats involving a knife outside a business in Canora. Police attended and determined a verbal altercation took place between a male and female but no weapons were involved.
Harassment
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched on February 9 to a report of a theft and criminal harassment complaint in Preeceville. A suspect has been identified. Police continue to investigate.
In the ditch
On February 10, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP attended a collision involving a single vehicle in the ditch on Highway No. 5 west of Mikado. The driver sustained minor injuries. Road conditions were poor at the time of the collision.
