After many hours of hard work and planning, members of St. Andrews United Church of Canora dedicated their new signs on Sunday, Aug. 21. The signs were crafted by Bill Slowski of Canora.
Pastor Thom Carnahan spoke at the 小蓝视频.
“Fellow church members, we gather for a very important activity in the life of our St. Andrews United Church Canora,” said Carnahan. “We are here to dedicate this new replacement sign to the glory of God, our church and community. We are indeed thankful for Bill Slowski’s God- given gift of craftsmanship in the creation of these wonderful signs.”
Val Morozoff, St. Andrews board chair, responded with a scripture reading from 2 Chronicles 7:5- “King Solomon offered a sacrifice of 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. Thus the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.”
After the sign unveiling, Pastor Carnahan shared the prayer of dedication.
“O God, in ages past, King Solomon answered God’s request to King David and provided a permanent house for Him as God’s Temple and he and the people dedicated it to God. So similarly, we ask you God to bestow your blessing on us now as we dedicate this sign to your glory, to this church and to our local Canora community. And further, because of this hallowed location, in God’s name we declare this sign to be sacred. Send your Spirit upon us when we assemble here in this church through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”
