CANORA - Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week took place from Feb. 9-15 and at Canora Junior Elementary School, where local businesses and community groups, as well as families of students, showed their appreciation.
Principal Shawna Stangel said she and the other staff members were grateful for the recognition and the appreciation that was shown, and posted their response online.
“Our [school community council] executive members volunteered to plan, prepare, and deliver an amazing home-cooked lunch, and delicious treats and snacks for our entire staff on Wednesday and Thursday. Two days where we did not have to pack a lunch was certainly a treat.
“Crossroads Credit Union delivered fruit, muffins and donuts for our entire staff to enjoy. This was a great way to help fuel our days this week.
“Many parents and families sent their well wishes to teachers and staff this past week as well. We value our partnership with you and appreciate your support in all we do with and for our students.
“We felt very spoiled as the tasty food, treats, and well wishes warmed our hearts and our bellies!”
