CANORA — The Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to 45 calls from Nov. 2 to Nov. 8, some of which included:
- one 911 Act call,
- two assaults,
- one dangerous driving,
- one disturbing the peace,
- three failures to appear in court,
- one Firearms Act call,
- one harassing communications,
- one Mental Health Act call,
- six mischiefs,
- one sexual assault,
- one theft,
- one traffic collision,
- 14 traffic offenses,
- four well小蓝视频 checks,
- and two prisoners.
Cigarette scrounging
On Nov. 8, the Canora/Sturgis investigated a report that a female was roaming around Buchanan, taking cigarette butts from people’s ashtrays. Police have been unable to identify a suspect.
Saskatoon arrest near Good Spirit
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) was investigating the whereabouts of a man who was on warrant from Melfort and Yorkton RCMP for offences including assault, flight from police and driving while prohibited.
Investigation determined the man was in the Good Spirit Lake area and on Nov. 6, WEST officers located him, approached him and told him he was under arrest.
He fled from officers in a vehicle for a short distance, but was arrested without incident. Further investigation determined the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from the Melfort area on Oct. 13. Charges include: possession of property obtained by crime, flight from peace officer, operation of a conveyance while prohibited, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Assault investigation
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a report of an assault on Nov. 3. The caller reported 小蓝视频 assaulted by three males. Police continue to investigate.
Welder stolen
The Canora/Sturgis RCMP investigated a report on Nov. 3 that a welder and trailer were stolen from outside a business in Preeceville. Police continue to investigate.
Disturbance at business
On Nov. 2, the Canora/Sturgis RCMP were dispatched to a disturbance report inside a business in Canora. The caller reported two females under the influence of drugs locked themselves in the bathroom. Police attended, arrested the two females, and removed them from the business.
Warrants issued
Provincial Court was held in Canora on Nov. 2. The court issued warrants for the arrest of two females and one male who failed to attend and answer to their respective charges.
