CANORA- The excitement is building for the return of Canora in Bloom, which will feature something for everyone from July 16 to July 22.
On Sunday, Canora in Bloom begins with a non-denominational church service at the Town Hall.
Monday will feature the Orest Lewchuk community dedication and the Lesia anniversary commemoration at the Lesia Statue. Fresh bread and borsch will be available at Rainbow Hall.
Tuesday’s events will include a Perogy lunch at St. Andrews United Church, followed by a fun night at Canora Golf & Country Club, sponsored by the Town of Canora.
The Ukrainian Heritage Museum Open House with free admission will be a highlight of Wednesday’s activities.
The weekly Farmer’s Market will be held on Thursday at the CN Station House Museum. Pie and coffee, as well as some good company, will follow at the Keen Age Centre. Thursday is Men’s Night at the Canora Golf & Country Club.
The highlight on Friday is the evening market at the CN Station House Museum, hosted by the Tourism Fundraising Committee. There will be beef-on-a-bun and beer gardens to enjoy.
The Canora swimming pool will be humming with activity, featuring free open swimming, aquafit, and lane swimming all week.
Monday will include fun deck chalk art all day long.
A diving board competition will highlight Tuesday’s activity.
Wednesday will feature a large inflatable obstacle course, as well as a free barbecue.
Thursday there will be plenty of time for free swimming.
Wrapping up the week at the pool will be the excitement of water basketball on Friday evening for ages eight and over.
