Rebecca Hort鈥檚 eye-popping sunflowers reaching up to 15 feet high were grown this year in her garden in Buchanan. She grew two varieties: Autumn Beauty and Mammoth, with Autumn Beauty growing the tallest, even though this variety normally only tops out at a height of seven to 10 feet. Hort, a 2019 graduate of Canora Composite School, had an interest in gardening at a very young age and is an active grain farmer at the family farm. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Degree at the University of Saskatchewan, and her secret is the love of plants and a green thumb.Rebecca Hort
